Digital Innovation Fair ends in Netrakona

A three day long digital innovation fair concluded on Netrakona old collectorate office premises on Sunday night with a call to make the people aware about the e-services to involve them in the digital activities. Netrakona district administration, ICT ministry and access to information (A2i) project of prime minister’s office jointly organized the Fair. Additional divisional commissioner of Mymensing division Muzammel Haque attended the concluding session of the fair as chief guest while Deputy Commissioner Netrakona Dr. Musfiqur Rahman was in the chair. The session was addressed, among others, by additional deputy commissioner Netrakona Khalid Hussain, former commander of district Muktizoddha sangsad Nurul Amin and prominent freedom fighter Golam Ershadur Rahman. Latest ICT products, multi-media class room, e-official services, mobile banking and e-learning items were put on display in around 60 stalls set up in the fair ground. Photography exhibition ends in Barisal

Two-day photography exhibition on life and struggle of potters (clay-artisans) ended in Barisal on Sunday night. Twenty-five photos shot by young photographer Kishore Karmakar styled as ‘Palolik’ (alluvial) held at Ashwini Kumar Hall of the city. The exhibition was inaugurated on Saturday morning in presence of the literary, cultural personalities, freedom fighter, language movement heroes including Poet Kajal Chakraborty, Santimoy Mukhopadhyaya of Kolkata, S M Iqbal, Syed Dulal, Yusuf Hossain Kalu, Akkas Hossain, Mukul Das, Sushanta Ghosh. Photographer Kishore Karmakar said pottery is an art form where nature subsumes in nature and integral in our cultural tradition and history. Soil is the ingredient of pottery and our life could not be imagined without soil. So I tried to focus life and struggle of potters of Kalaskathi village under Bakerganj upazila of Barisal, Kishore told.
Amar Ekushey Book Fair ends in Saidpur

 A 3-day long Amar Ekushey Book Fair ended in Saidpur with great charm and enjoyment. It was started on the occasion of International Mother Language Day at Saidpur in Nilphamari on Wednesday afternoon. The fair was inaugurated at International School’s own premises. Divisional Superintendent Muhammad Kudrat-e Khuda, Mayor of Saidpur Municipality Md. Amzad Hossain Sarker, Saidpur UNO Bazlur Rashid, Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Parimal Kumar Sarker, Acting President of Saidpur Municipal Awami League Rafiqul Islam Babu, Upazila Women Affairs Officer Nurunnahar Shahjadi, Professor of Haji Danesh Science and Technology University, Sajedur Rahman, Upazila Agriculture Officer Homaira Mandal and others were present and spoke at the program. Principal of the Institution Md Sabahat Ali Sabbu presided over the inauguration ceremony. Deputy Commissioner Md. Khaled Rahim visited stalls and expressed his satisfaction on the arrangements .
