Muhith distributes certificates to trainees in Sylhet

Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith, MP, said that Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) is destroying the peace and disrupting development. “People will reject them in their own interest, therefore there is no need to enact any law to ban hartals,” he said. Muhith said that the BNP had proved to be a failure at organizing any sort of movement, so they have resorted to hartals to increase people’s sufferings. “We will crush them with an iron hand. The finance minister was speaking as chief guest at a function at the local BRDTI auditorium on Monday. Presided over by the chairman of Sylhet Sadar upazila chairman, Ashfaq Ahmed, the function was organized CVDP to provide certificates and material assistance to trainees who had completed their course in the fields of tailoring, garments, electricals, refrigeration and air-conditioning.
Workshop on preservation of animal hides held in C’nawabganj

A workshop on the preparation and preservation of animal hides was held in Chapainawabganj on Wednesday.Bangladesh Finished Leather, Leather Goods and Footwear Exporters Association (BFLLFEA), Bangladesh Economic Growth Programme (BEGP) and Leather Sector Business Promotion Council (LSBPC) of Commerce Ministry jointly arranged the workshop at Mohona Community Centre in the town. It was held with the president Chapainawabganj District Leather Traders Association Manjur Hossain in the chair and was addressed among others by member of the executive committee of BFLLFEA Shakhawat Hossain, secretary of Chapainawabganj District Leather Traders Association Abul Khayer and others.The speakers asked all to prepare and preserve leather in a proper way and remain alert so that it cannot be smuggled to other countries.During the training session, lecturer of Dhaka University Nur Mohammad imparted training as resource person to the hide traders on leather processing, preservation, export and production and export of leather made goods.
Law , order situation meet held in Dupchanchia

A meeting on law and order situation was held in the upazila auditorium premises presided over upazila Nirbahi officer Saifur Rahman Khan under Dupchanchia upazila of Bogra district on Monday while upazila chairman Abdul Goni Mondal was present as a chief guest. Officer-in-charge Riaz Uddin Ahmmed, Upazila Awami League President Mizanur Rahman Khan Selim, senior vice president of AL Aminur Rahman, TSA of upazila health complex Gaziur Rahman,AL leader Kaikobad, Somaj seba officer Zotish Chandra, Mawlana Azizur Rahman, Gunaher up chairman Nurul Islam Khan Hiru, Zianagar up chairman Babul Hossain Babu , Sadar UP chairman Moazzem Hossain, journalist Emadadul Haque, Taufiq Alom and M Sarowar Khan were present in the meeting among others.
