Laptops distributed to brilliant students of Bhangura Women’s College

Laptops were given to the meritorious students who got A+ in HSC Examination in the year 2017 from Bangura Women’s Degree College on Sunday. These are Monira Khatun and Rokaiya Tanni of Science Group. On this occasion, arrangements were made to distribute laptops and mother gatherings at the college premises. Alhaj Mahfuzul Islam,President of College Governing Body Presided over the function.Alhaj Md Mokbul Hossain MP Pabna-3 constituency and Chairman the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Agriculture Ministry as the chief guest of the ceremony handed over two laptops to that talented students of his personal initiative. Among others, Golam Hasnain Rashel,Mayor of Bhangura Municipality,Principal Abdul Jalil,Abdur Rahman Prodhan,Secretary of Upazila Awami League,Md Saidul Islam,Organizing Secretary of Awami League ,Md Aslam Ali, Member of Pabna District Council gave speech in the meeting.
Mahila Biswa Ijtema begins in Baraigram

A 3- day long 12th Mahila Biswa Ijtema began at the ground of Moukhara Islamia Mahila College in Baraigram upazila under Natore district on Saturday. On the first day, thousands of women took part in the religious event to seek divine blessings of the Almighty Allah. The ijtema began with an `am bayan’ at 9 am by Maulana Md Rashidul Islam of Singra upazila. Then, Maulana Abdullah Al Amin of Pabna district and Maulana Abdul Aziz of Satkhira district delivered their bayan on life style of women in light of the Holy Quran and Sunnah. This istema was conducted by Assistant Professor Abu Syed and Sohrab Hossain Sarker. Baraigram thana OC Md Shahariar Khan said, different law enforcement agencies were deployed around the ijtema ground for ensuring security of the devotees.
Students cabinet election held in Gouripur
GOURIPUR (Mymensingh) Correspondent
The students’ cabinet election was held successfully at all primary and secondary schools of Gouripur upazila in Mymensingh district on Saturday. The vote casting process took place on the day from 9am to 2pm with a festive mood. On spot inspection confirmed a jubilant and all-around participation in the voting process at Gouripur Pilot Girls’ High School where 15 contestants fought for 8 posts while 1304 voters from class six to ten cast their votes. An onlooker team consisted with student-representatives observed the election process. Students-representatives who played role as election commissioners, presiding officers, polling officers and other officials conducted the voting process.
Talking to The New Nation, the Head Teacher Md Anamul Haque Sarkar said that the event would introduce democratic attitude among the students and their democratic awareness for the nation building process in future.
