School Feeding Prog inaugurated at Fulbari

Fulbari Upazila Primary Education Department organised Mid-day Meal and School Feeding Programme in all government primary schools at Fulbari Upazila in Dinajpur on Saturday. Mid Day Meal and School Feeding Programme was inaugurated by Primary and Mass Education Minister Adv freedom fighter Md Mostafizur Rahman Fizar MP as Chief Guest. On the occasion of the inauguration of the Mid-day meal and school feeding program, the chairperson, guardian, coordinator and discussion was arranged at Sujapur Model Government Primary School with Md. Abdus Salam Chowdhury, in the chair. Primary and Mass Education Minister Adv freedom fighter Md Mostafizur Rahman Fizar MP, as the chief guest on the discussion. Secretary of Primary and Mass Education Ministry Mohammad Aashik-uz-Zaman, Project Director of the School Feeding Project (Additional Secretary) in the poor affected areas, Abu Hena Mostafa Kamal, World Food Program (WFP), Head of Hafiza Khan, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) Dr Shahid Uddin Chowdhury, Executive Director of NGO USDO Dr Md. Shahiduzzaman, Former MP Md Shoaib Ali, Awami League President, Md. Haider Ali Shah, General Secretary Md. Mushfiqur Rahman Babul, Sub General Secretary Principal Masudur Rahman Masud, Vice Principal Shah Mohammad. Abdul Kuddus, Organizing Secretary Ashraful Alam Dablu, District Council Member Alhaj Md Kamruzzaman Shah Kamru, Upazila Primary Education Officer Mosammat. Hasina Bhuiyan, former municipal mayor Shahjahan Ali Sarkar Putu, Headmaster of Chandpara Govt Primary School Syed Abul Hasan Azad addressed the event as special guests.
Ensuring safe food stressed

Speakers at a discussion underlined the importance to ensure safe food by farming healthy vegetables. They said this at a discussion titled “Farmer’s Day and Safe Food” in Chandina under Comilla district organised by GFF Holdings (BD) Ltd, a Japan-Bangladesh joint venture agricultural company, recently. Former Professor of Sher-Bangla Agricultural University Samsul Haq, Deputy Director of DAE Comilla region Krishibid Dilip Kumar Adhikari, Chandina Upazila Agriculture Officer Ehtesam Rosule Haider, Assistant Professor of Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University Dr. Anisur rahman and Bangabandhu krishi padak reciepient Krishok Matin Saikat spoke at the function. AKM Mamunur Rashid, a local leader, presided over the function while Managing director & C.E.O of GFF Holdings (BD) Ltd., Dr. Md. Nashir Uddin presented the keynote paper there. Cauliflower farmer Noab ali, Radish farmer Anser Ali and Tomato farmer Rezzek shared their experiences during their growing season. The speakers stressed importance on the farmer’s awareness on safe food production in every step from seed selection to sell to consumer. Every year thousands of people died of food related diseases around the world including Bangladesh.
Adam census advocacy meet held in Kishoreganj

Statics Department of Bangladesh arranged a district advocacy meeting on Adam Census at Kishoreganj Collectorate Conference Room on Sunday. Deputy Commissioner Md. Azimuddin Biswas presided over the meeting.It was addressed among others by ADC (Gen) Torafder Md. Akhter Jamil, Additional Police Super Masud Anowar, Deputy Director of Statics Department Nomita Debnath, Acting Deputy Director Md. Masum Miah, Deputy Civil Surgeon Dr. Mujibur Rahman, DLO Dr Md. Abdul Mannan, DPEO Md Sajjad Hossion, Deputy Director of Social Service Rabiul Islam, Deputy Director of Islamic Foundation Faruq Ahamed, N.D.C & Magistrate Shamima Yesmin, District Press Club President Mostafa Kamal, CAB President Alam Sarowar Tito and senior journalist Saiful Hoque Mollah Dulu. At least 25 district level officials, journalists and consumer rights activists were also present.
