IU ‘F’ unit entry test results published

The entry test results of ‘F’ Unit under Faculty of Applied Science and Technology of Islamic University (IU), Kushtia published on Saturday. F unit coordinator, Assistant Prof M Asaduzzaman handed the results over university vice chancellor Prof Dr M Harun-Ur-Askari in the morning. In the intake test of ‘F’ unit only 175 aspirants come out among 2863 aspirants which is 6.11 percent of the total. To check the results, aspirants can visit the university website www.iu.ac.bd.

Kamruzzaman Kamrul. The Chief Guest was Adv Molla Mohammad Abu Kawsar, President of the Central Awami Volunteer League. In the Chairmanship of Md Mizanur Rahman Liton, President of Sechchasebak League of Saidpur Municipal unit, Special Guest Pankaj Dev Nath (General Secretary, Bangladesh Awami Sechcha Sevak League), Abdur Razzak , Vice-President , Bangladesh Awami Sechchasebak League, AKM Azim (Organizing Secretary), Khairul Hassan (Organizing Secretary), Kazi Moazzem Hossain (public relations and journalism affairs Secretary), Enam E Khoda (youth and sports), Nafiul Islam Nafa (Social Welfare affairs Secretary), Manik ghosa (Human Rights Secretary) spoke at the conference.
Eid-e -Miladunnabi observed in Dupchanchia

The holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi was observed here in Dupchanchia upazila of Bogra on Saturday. A rally was brought out and paraded main road of the town marking the day. Later, they offered a special prayer seeking divine blessings of Almighty Allah for peace, progress and prosperity of the country and welfare of the Muslim Ummah. Special prayers, Zikir, Doa and Milad Mahfil, discussion, feeding of orphans and destitute and processions to welcome the holy Miladunnabi were the main features. Upazila office of Islamic Foundation led by supervisor Mahmud Ali arranged a discussion highlighting the significance of the day. Dupchanchia Sammiloto Pre-Cadet School arranged a discussion meeting presided over Principal Emdadul Haque.
3 held with arms, drugs in Dinajpur
DINAJPUR: Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) in separate drives arrested three people along with firearms and phensidyl from Kotwali thana in the district on Sunday evening. The arrestees are Md Sohel, 34, a resident of Daptaripara of Kotwali thana, Md Aminul, 42, Md Jahangir Alam, 37, of Saraswatipur village.Members of Crime Prevention Company-1 of Rab-13 arrested Sohel, an accused in several cases including murder, from a local market in Daptaripara and recovered a one shooter gun and one bullet in the evening, said its commander Talukder Nazmus Sakib.The same team conducted a drive in Sahbatpur area and arrested drug peddlers Aminul and Jahangir along with 237 bottles of phensidyl, reports UNB.
