T-Aman seedling has been distributed amid flood victim poor and marginal farmers under Khetlal upazila of Joypurhat district to recoup huge loses recently. Upazila Chairman Rawnkul Islam Tipu Chowdhury has taken elaborate programme to survive the agriculture sector from disaster providing necessary agri-impute. He said, we have given some incentive enterprise among the peasants to spend the cultivation cost. Upazila chairman has already distributed some short duration bridhan-34, bridhan-62 and bridhan-7 variety T-Aman sapling from his own fund recently. He desires to expand the agriculture sector producing fresh paddy so that the farmer can drive the course of poverty line with the ancestral profession. To run the enterprise, he gets sharp assistance from Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Jebun Nahar, upazila vice chairman Mostakim Mondal, Mahila vice chairman Shamima Akter Bedena, upazila agriculture officer Alomgir Hossain, Sub-plant preservation officer Mostafizur Rahman and vice president of Bangladesh Awami-league Mofazzal Hossain. Upazila chairman said, people of our upazila mostly depend on agriculture but they are now in a fix due to severe flood situation. He urges to prosperous men to expand the helping hand toward the flood victim people by any cost from our own position.
Uplift work progressing in Kanaighat UZ

Under the Second Rural Transport Improvement Project (RTIP-II) of World Bank financing, repair work of the five -year pilot project on the 35km long Sylhet-Gachhbari GC-Kanaighat Upazila Headquarters Road in the Kanaighat upazila of the district has been completed . Besides the described repair programme, regular maintenance activities have been continuing for five years. Executive Engineer of LGED, Sylhet A S . Mohsin said, people of the areas concerned are already getting the benefits of such long-term repair programmme, With the execution of the pilot project, there has been a big change in the transport of commuters and transportation of commodity, traffic, trade and commerce of Kanaighat upazila with neighbouring areas including the divisional city of Sylhet.
Labour Ministry distribute cheque in Kishoreganj

Zillur Rahman as a special guest, Civil Surgeon Dr. Habibur Rahman, District Awami League Seceretary Advocate M.A. Afzol, Sadar UNO Abdulah-Al-Masud, Additional Police Super Md. Rakib Khan, District Press Club President Mostafa Kamal, Chamber President Mujibur Rahman Belal, University Student Shamima Begum, Labour Inspactor Rabiya Yesmin, Journalist Noor Mohammad, Jatiya Party District Secretary Advocate Shamsul Hoque Renu and Deputy Isnpactor General of Inspaction for factories Md. Woman killed in Manikganj road crash
Manikgan: A woman was killed and 30 others were injured on Tuesday as two buses collided head-on on Dhaka- Aricha Highway in Baniajuri area of Ghior upazila. The deceased is identified as Ambia Khatun, 40, a resident of Chuadanga. Among the injured, one was rushed to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital in critical condition and the rest of them were taken to Manikganj General Hospital. Inspector Yeamin Uddoula said a Magura-bound bus of Royal Paribahan collided head-on with a Dhaka-bound bus of HR Paribahan around 10:00 am, injuring dozens, reports UNB.
