Kurigram Zilla Parishad distributes relief among flood-hit people

Relief varieties material were distributed among flood- hit people in some parts of the district by Kurigram Zilla Parishad on Monday . Cooked rice and Oral Saline were distributed among five hundred people at Paddar mor and RDRS bazaar area under Holokhana union of Kurigram Sadar upazila by it’s own fund. Men, women and children were gathered there to get a packet of cooked rice. Panel chairman and member of Zilla Parishad Azim Uddin master and member of zilla parishad assistant professor Mahbuba Begum respectively, Sub-Assistant engineer Abul Kalam Azad,Golam Rabbani and officials of the Zilla Parishad were present there.Earlier, chief executive officer (CEO) of Kurigram Zilla Parishad Alea Khatun distributed relief materials among more than two hundred flood victims at Pachgachi and Bhogdanga union under Kurigram Sadar upazila.The relief materials in per bag were five kgs rice, one kg dal, one kg sugar, one kg salt and Oral Saline.

A discussion meeting and Milad Mahafil was held in Rampal on Sunday on the 42nd martyrdom anniversary and National Mourning Day arranged by Rampal Upazilla Mohila Awami League . Presided over by Rampal Upazilla Mohila AL President Prof. Sayera Begum , MP of Rampal-Mongla Constituency Alhaj Talukder Abdul Khaleq was present as Chief Guest. Two villages get electricity connections in Chandpur
CHANDPUR: A total of 312 houses of Hugli and Hamcha villages under Faridganj upazila of the district have been brought under the rural electrification network by Chandpur Palli Bidyut Samity-2.Local lawmake r Dr Shamsul Haque Bhuiyan formally inaugurated the 4.17-kilometer new electrification line over telephone on Monday morning.Local leaders of Awami League, including Abul Kashem Aazd, Moshiur Rahman, Elias Beg and Mujibur Rahman, among others, were present at the function.Chandpur Palli Bidyut Samity-2 implemented the programme at a cost of Taka 62.60 lakh, said AGM Monir Hossain of Chandpur Palli Bidyut Samity-2.
