Border Guard Bangladesh men arrested a man along with three bottles of Indian wine, six bottles of Phensedyl and a motorbike from near Kabilpur Bazar under Chaugachha upazila in Jessore, sub inspector Firoj Ahmed of Chaugachha police station confirmed the information on Friday night. The arrested is Seresta Ali, 50 of Kabilpur village under Chaugachha upazila in Jessore. Details were not known immediately.
Physically challenged woman killed in road mishap
Physically challenged Sayera Khatun, 60, who was displaced by Bhabadah water logging problem along with other family members, was killed in a road mishap on Jessore – Chuknagar Road at Shyamkur village under Monirampur upazila in Jessore on Friday night. Moniruzzaman Moni, chairman, Shyamkur union council told that the woman was killed on the spot being hit by an easy bike while crossing the road at around 8pm on Friday.’ The woman who was a dumb and blind took shelter on the road being displaced by Bhabadah water logging problem more than a month,’ he added.Mokarram Hossain, officer in-charge, Monirampur police station told that the dead was buried without any post mortem examination as the family members did not want so.
3 fishermen arrested while catching fish by using poison

Three fishermen were arrested by the forest department while they were catching fish from the forest at Sindukbaria area within Supati patrol outpost under Sharankhola forest range in the Eastern Division of Sundarban forest on Friday evening after pouring poison in the canal. At that time the forest department seized 10 kgs lobsters, a bottle of poison and a small boat from their possession. The arrested fishermen are Monir Hossain (30), Jahangir (32) and Monir Hawladar (22). They all hail from the village Kathaltala under Patharghata Upazila in Barguna district. They were sent to Bagerhat district jail on Saturday through the court. Source added that Abdul Mannan, SO (Station Officer) of Supati forest office under Sharankhola forest range that acting on secret information a contingent of the forest guards led by him raided Sindukbaria canal on the day in the evening (at 7 pm) and arrested those 3 fishermen. In this connection a case was lodged with the local PS against the arrested fishermen under Forest Act.
Most wanted criminal held in Sylhet

Police arrested Most wanted criminal ,former leader of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) from Chowkidekhi area of the city recently. The arrestee was identified as Nabil Raja, son of Farhad Raza Chowdhury and a former assistant-organising secretary of Sylhet city unit of JCD. Jedan Al Musa, additional deputy commissioner (media) of Sylhet Metropolitan Police (SMP), said that on secret information a team of police conducted a drive in the area and arrested Most wanted criminal Nabil around 12:00 am. Nabil was accused in several cases including rape, extortion, said the SMP official.
Two Jamaat leaders held in Rangpur
RANGPUR: The city unit Ameer of Jamaat and another leader were arrested from different places in the city yesterday. Police said a special police team from Kotwali police station conducted separate raids and arrested Rangpur city unit Ameer Mahbubar Rahman Belal from his house in Kamarpara area and Shafikul Islam from Rangpur Polytechnic Institute area. Both of the arrestess are accused in several cases, including subversive activities, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kotwali Thana ABM Zahidul Islam Ali said, reports BSS.
