Iran’s supreme leader hit out at the United States and Saudi Arabia during the funerals Friday for those slain in the first attacks in the country claimed by the Islamic State group.
The assault by gunmen and suicide bombers Wednesday on Tehran’s parliament complex and the shrine of revolutionary leader Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini killed 17 people and wounded more than 50.
20 EU nations back plan for EU

The European Union has taken a major step toward setting up a European prosecutor’s office which would be able to investigate financial fraud affecting the bloc.
Twenty of the 28 EU nations at a meeting of justice and interior ministers agreed on the creation of the Luxembourg-based office under an enhanced cooperation agreement. The chief prosecutor will be able to investigate fraud involving EU aid and subsidies and VAT infractions.
The EU has said such fraud amounts to some 500 million euros a year.
Rhino kills
conservationist in Rwanda

A conservationist who was training rangers to track and protect black rhinos in Rwanda has been killed by one of the animals, the organisation he worked for has said in a statement.
Information about the exact circumstances of Hungarian Krisztian Gyongyi’s death on Wednesday morning in Akagera National Park is “still being gathered”, said Peter Fearnhead, the chief executive of Africa Parks.
Montenegro court confirms indictments against 2 Russians

Montenegro’s higher court on Thursday confirmed prosecution indictments against 14 people, including two Russians charged with masterminding a coup attempt aimed at preventing Montenegro from joining NATO.
Russian nationals Eduard Shishmakov and Vladimir Popov have been indicted with various criminal offenses, terrorism and acts against the constitutional order of Montenegro, a court statement said.
