ISIS suspect ‘Jihadi Jack’ caught in Syria

A 21-year-old British man dubbed “Jihadi Jack” has been captured by Kurdish fighters in Syria where he was accused of joining ISIS, media reports said today.
Jack Letts, who emerged as the first from the UK to join ISIS in Syria, told the London-based television network Al-Araby that he was living in a prison controlled by the Kurds.

Russia to sell

system to Turkey

Russia is closing in on a deal with Turkey to supply its latest S-400 air-defence system to Ankara, Moscow said Saturday, in the latest sign of restored ties.
“Moscow and Ankara have almost finished discussing the technical side of the contract for S-400,” Russian state giant Rostec said in a statement.

Ten migrants killed in Bulgaria

Ten migrants were killed and seven were injured after a minivan transporting them overturned on a highway near the city of Pazardzhik in southern Bulgaria, the interior ministry said. The ministry said the 16-year-old Bulgarian driver of the vehicle, who did not hold a driving license, was also killed in the accident early on Sunday. The migrants did not have any documents on them, but some of the wounded, who were being treated in hospital, told police officers they were of Afghani and Pakistani origin.
