Husband kills wife in Dupchanchia

A pregnant housewife was beaten to death by husband in Taluchkhapara of Gunaher union under Dupchanchia upazila of Bogra district recently. The deceased was identifie3d as Shazeda Khatun, 34, wife of Sirajul Islam Taluchkhapara village of the upazila. Abdul kuddus, father of deceased, said that Sazeda was married off ten years back with Siarjul who used to tortures my dearest daughter for dowry. Eyewitness said, he killed his first wife torturing again and again. “He was an assassin man whom the government should given death penalty.” They added. Officer-in-charge of Dupchanchia police station Riaz Ahmed said getting news from the locals’ police rushed the spot and recovered the dead body from area.
Eid-ul-Fitr observed in Barisal

Eid -Ul- Fitr was observed in Barisal on Tuesday peacefully but gallantly with enthusiasm. The main Eid Jamat in Barisal city held at well decorated Hemayet Uddin Central Eidgah Maidan at 8-30 am. Ahsan Habib Kamal, BNP backed BCC mayor, Advocate Mojibor Rahman Sarwar, central organizing secretary , city president of BNP and former lawmaker and BCC mayor, Saidur Rahman Rintu, AL backed Sadar upazila parishad chairman and president Barisal Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Advocate Afzalul Karin, city AL secretary, Md.Gaus,divisional commissioner , Shahidul Alam, deputy commissioner, and other socio-political-cultural personalities, high-ranking government officials as well as general mass and female worshippers participated in this prayer.
One injured in gun attack in Chapainawabganj

One person was injured in a gun attack by some unidentified assailant at Kansat under Shibganj upazila in Chapainawabganj district recently. The injured person was identified as Anarul Islam, 50, son of Nuruzzaman of Pukuria village under Kansat union of Shibganj upazila of the district.
OC of Shibganj thana Ashiqur Rahman said, as Anarul was walking along the road after performing Tarabih prayer at around 10 pm, some unidentified assailant shot at him near Kansat High School. He received bullet injury on his right thigh. The injured was rushed to Chapainawabganj Sadar Hospital at 11-30 pm and then was referred to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.

Leaders of different socio-cultural organizations and professional bodies in Sylhet city on Friday continued to condemn the killing of innocent Palestinian people by Israeli air-strikes over the last few days. The condemnation came from a human chain and rally at Sylhet Court point premises this after Jumma payer. Jomiate Sylhet city and district, Islami Aandolon Sylhet city and district, Imam Somity Sylhet City, addressing the rally, the speakers said the attack in Gaza is not merely a war; rather it is a planned cold blooded murder to destroy the Palestinian generations. The speakers termed the killings as a serious violation of human rights and said Israelis are trying to destroy generation after generation by spreading radioactive bombs on the unarmed children and women in Palestine.
