Body recovered from Karatoa River

A dead body was recovered from the Karatoa River nearby Jolpaitola Eid gah area of Aria Union parishad under Shazanpur upazila of Bogra district recently. The deceased was identified as Bacchu Mia,35, son of Batu Mia Rahimabad Madhopara village of the upazila. Officer-in-charge of Shazanpur police station Abdul Manna said getting news from locals police rushed the spot and recovered the dead body from the river at 8.00 pm. Later it was handed over to the family members immediately. The eyewitness said he was a patient of epilepsy disease by birth.

Schoolboy commits suicide in Barisal

A 13-year old school boy committed suicide at New Circular Road Forester Bari area in Barisal on Saturday afternoon. The victim was identified as Trek, son of Kamal Mia and student of class seven at UCEP School in the city. Taslima Begum, maternal aunt of the victim, said father of Tarek leaving family member residing at Dhaka with second wife. Mother of Tarek renting a room living with son maintaining costing by doing work as domestic helper in different houses. Tarek hanged himself from roof of the house by using sharee of his mother in absence of others at the home at about 3:00 PM Saturday.
Road mishap kills girl in C’nawabganj

A girl child was killed in a road mishap at Baroghoaria under Chapainawabganj sadar upazila on Saturday afternoon. The victim was identified as Sonia, 8, daughter of Shahidul Islam of Baroghoria Kazipara under Baroghoria union of Chapainawabganj Sadar upazila. Officer in Charge (OC) of Chapainawabganj Sadar thana Jasim Uddin said, a Mishuk hit Sonia injuring her seriously when she was crossing the road to go for a bath in the river Mohananda at around 12-45 pm. She succumbed to injuries on the way to the Chapainawabganj Sadar Hospital. The locals held the Mishuk driver Abu Bakkar and handed him over to the police. Police recovered the dead body and handed it over to her family.
