Women participation must in dev activities
MYMENSINGH: Speakers at a women gathering underscored the need of women participation in different development activities in the country. District Information Office organised the function at Satrasia Government Primary School premises of Muktagacha upazila yesterday aiming to disseminate the achievements and developments of the present government. Lawmaker and member of the standing committee for Ministry of Information Salahuddin Ahmed Mukti addressed the gathering as the chief guest. Muktagacha UNO Zulkar Nain presided over the function. It was addressed, among others, by member of the Zila Parisad Begum Josnara Mukti, upazila primary education officer Mustafizur Rahman, Assistant Information Officer (AIO) Tahlima Zannat and chairman of Kumeargata union Akbar Ali. Salahuddin Ahmed said the present government under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has achieved tremendous success in different sectors. Mentioning the needs of women participation in development activities he urged the mothers to come forward and participate in the development activities and to be united against militancy and terrorist, reports BSS.
LGED implements road development scheme in Tangail

Tangail Local Government Engineering (LGED) has implemented the developmental schema under Bordam-Chit Mahmudpur Road under Mirzapur Upazila at a cost of Tk 2 crore fifteen lakh four thousand four hundred recently. Official souses said that the work was done under Important Village Infrastructure Development Project (DIRIP) which included the development of two km road and re-habilitation of 4.5 km road than.
