Boy missing from Sylhet recovered in Lalmonirhat

A 5- year old baby Rifat who was missing from Kanishail was recovered in Lalmonirhat. He was rescued on Sunday. Refat is the son of Nesar Ahmed of Kanishail are in Sylhet City. OC kotwali police station Sohel Ahmed informed Rifat was hijacked on Friday Evening. The hijacked demanded Tk 10 lakh as ransom. Fifat’s father informed it to police. By using Technology police confirmed that Rifat is in Lalmonirhat. Police made an operation and rescue Rifat. None Arrested. police Try to identify the criminals.
Divisional confce of Diploma Engineers Association held

Rangpur and Rajshahi divisional conference of Diploma Engineers Association of the Education Engineering Department was held at Parjatan Motel, Rangpur on yesterday. Chief engineer of Education Engineering department Dewan Mohammad Hanjala addressed the conference as the chief guest while vice president of Education Engineering Diploma Engineers Association Rangpur region engineer Abu Taher was in the chair.Among others president of the Institute of Diploma Engineers Bangladesh, engineer AKMA Hamid, Superintending engineer of Education Engineering department Sadequr Rahman, Superintending engineer of Rajshahi circle Shamsul Huda, Executive engineers of Education Department Rangpur and Rajshahi division, Assistant engineers and sub-assistant engineers of the region were also present on the occasion.
Burglary commited in 5 houses in Sharankhola

Burglary suddenly increased in Rayenda Bazar, Upazila headquarters of Sharankkhola in Bagerhat district recently. During the last few days as many as 5 burglaries were committed there. It is learnt from the police and the locals that on Friday mid night one or more thieves broke into the house belonging to one Abu Tayeb Kazi of Rayenda bazar bus stand and decamped with cash Tk.50 thousand and 3 mobile sets. At the same night burglary was also committed in the houses of one Lyton Hawladar and Abul Hawladar of the same area and the miscreants stole a sum of Tk.18 thousand of Lyton Hawladar and a sum of Tk.23 thousand a mobile set of Abul Hawladar. At the night of March 8 thieves entered into the house of electrician Milon Mia of Bandaghat area of Rayenda bazar after breaking open the wall of the house and decamped with cash Tk.22 thousand and 3 mobile sets. Only 2 weeks ago a burglary was committed in the house of Mohiuddin Hawladar of Rayenda bazar bus stand area and the miscreants decamped with cash Taka and mobile sets.
Van, sewing machines distributed in Bagerhat
Under the auspices of Bagerhat Zila Parishad a number of rickshaws, vans, sewing machines and wheel chairs were distributed among the helpless and destitute people under the ‘Emancipating of Poverty and Woman Development Project’ in a function held in the local Zila Parishad auditorium with Habibul Hoq Khan, Chief Executive of the Zila Parishad in the chair on Thursday morning. Freedom Fighter Shaikh Kamruzzaman Tuku, Chairman of Bagerhat Zila Parishad ceremonially handed over some 34 rickshaws, 33 vans, 20 sewing machines and 5 wheel chairs to the poor people of the district. On the occasion Zila Parishad Chairman Kamruzzaman Tuku explained the aims and objects behind the distribution of rickshaws, vans, sewing machine and wheel chairs among the poor people while he was addressed the function as the chief guest.

It was also addressed among others by Md. Shafiqul Islam, DD, Local Governments and ADC (Rev), Bagerhat and Zila Parishad members Kazi Zahid Sarwar Titu and Ibrahim Molla.
