Construction labour electrocuted in Barisal

One construction labour electrocuted in Barisal on Wednesday noon. The incident was happened at a under construction factory building of Opsonin group of industries at gas-turbine electricity generation plant area in Rupatali of the city. The victim was identified as Mahtab Haoladar, 35, son of Rafik Haolader of the area. Matiar Rahman, officer in charge Barisal Kotwali police station, said Mahtab was electrocuted during working at construction site of Opsonin. He was declared as dead by attending physician Dr. Rezaul Karim after brought to Barisal Sher E Bangla Medical College Hospital. The dead body sent to SBMCH morgue for autopsy after lodging a case of unnatural death, the police sources said.

Students of different classes on Wednesday forming a human chain and holding rally protested the announcement of conducting public examinations without interval demanded punishment of the culprits connected with question leakages.
The students’ wing of left front organised the programme under the banner of Sachetan in front of Carmicale College Smagnuntrick Shittaro Front Abu Rayan bokshi , Rokunugaman, Abu Syed ,Imran Sharker addressed the programme. The speakers said students were not liable, but sufferer for question leakage. So students always claiming punishment of the culprits liable for that crime and should not be more sufferer by conducting public examinations without intervals.Several probe committees were formed, but none of the liable for leakage of questions was put under trial. However the education minister giving the blaming students for leaking questions announced conducting public examinations without any interval.This decision will only affect the students and would be benefited those who liable for question leakage. It will also damage the healthy educational environment of the campus, the speakers told.
Accused of 8 cases , 6 Jamaat activists held in Jhenidah

Police nabbed an outlawed cadre of Biplobi Communist Party (BCP) from Poltadanga village under Harinakundo upazila of the district on Tuesday early hours. The arrestee is Faruk Hossain, 38 son of Afsar Sardar of Poltadanga village under the upazila. He is an accused of seven murder cases and one abduction case. Officer in charge (OC) Ershadul Kabir Chowdhury of Harinakundo police station said, acting on a tip off they launched a drive at Poltadanga village and arrested Faruk Hossain an accused of eight cases.
He is an outlawed cadre of BCP.
On the other hand, they have arrested six Jamaat activists who are the accused of police constable Omar Faruk murder case from different areas of the upazila.
