US Secy of State to make first trip to Asia

US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson will make his first trip to Asia next week and meet with senior officials to discuss North Korea’s recent missile tests and U.S. economic and security interests in the region.
He will arrive in Japan on March 15, continue on to South Korea on March 17 and visit China from March 18-19.

Indian citizen jailed in US on terrorism charges

A 41-year-old citizen of India was sentenced Tuesday to 15 years in a US prison after he pleaded guilty to conspiring while living in northern Nevada to plot terror strikes in his home country on the border with Pakistan.
US District Judge Larry Hicks in Reno also ordered Balwinder Singh to remain under lifetime federal supervision upon his release from prison after prosecutors argued that Singh has had ties to known terrorist groups in India for more than two decades.

Pakistan, Kuwait agree to strengthen ties

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah have reiterated their desire to further strengthen relations between the two countries.
During a meeting here on Tuesday, the two leaders discussed issues of mutual interests.

3 killed in Kabul military hospital attack

The militant Islamic State (IS) group claimed responsibility for an attack on a military hospital in the Afghan capital, Kabul, on Wednesday in which gunmen dressed as doctors slipped into the facility and battled security forces inside the building for several hours.
