Museums and galleries across the UK have stepped up security amid fears of a possible bomb attack by the ISIS terror group, a media report said today.
London’s National Gallery and British Museum are among the leading institutions that have banned visitors from ringing in large pieces of luggage and are now routinely screening all other bags fearing bombs hidden in bags being used by terrorists, ‘The Sunday Times’ reports.

Venezuela and the United States locked horns again over political prisoners held by Caracas, including a jailed opposition leader whose supporters took to the streets of the capital Saturday to demand his release.About 200 opposition supporters marched in Venezuela’s capital city, blocking one of the main highways in Caracas to protest Leopoldo Lopez’s imprisonment. “His only crime was to demonstrate non-violently. And now, more than 80 percent of Venezuelans want (President Nicolas) Maduro to leave power,” said David Smolansky, mayor of metro Caracas’ El Hatillo district.
Mogadishu bombing death toll rises to 39

The toll has climbed to 39 dead in an unusually deadly suicide bombing at the weekend in the Somali capital Mogadishu, rescue workers said Monday, the first since a new president was chosen this month.
The suicide car bomber struck a busy market in the Madina neighbourhood on Sunday, the explosion ripping through shoppers, stalls and vehicles.
