Zinc-rich BRRI-62 seeds for the current Aman season was distributed among the farmers and a farmers; training was held at a conference of Raninagour Upazila of Nagoan district, adjacent area of Bogra on Sunday morning . The programme was held with the financial assistance of IFRI and International Rice Research Institute International (IRRI). District crop production expert Habibul Haque, Agriculture officer Samsul Wadud, Dr. Abdul Aziz, Executive Director of AIHD Rafiqul Islam Milon, Jakiul Hasan, ARDO Programme Coordinator Saiful Islam among other agriculture officer of the upazila were also present on the occasion.
Legal aid committee meeting held

Workshop on Domestic Violance Act 2010
Nari Uddug Kendra with the assistance of Bangladesh Women Foundation organised a training on awareness and capacity building on Domestic Violence Act 2010 (Prevention & Protection) with journalists held at NUK, Kishoreganj Rejonal office conference rooom on Sunday noon. 5 held with arms, ammo in Dinajpur

Three youths were arrested with two pistols, 12 bullets and four magazines in Birampur upazila under Dinajpur district on Monday night, police said. The arrestees are Monjur Alam, 35, son of Md Mokbul Hossain of Churipatti village under Hakimpur upazila of Dinajpur, Ashraf Ali, 25, son of late Azimuddin Sheikh of Shibpur village under Atrai upazila, and Md Milon 20, son of Yar Uddin of Enayetpur village under Raninagar upazila of Naogaon district. Acting on a tip-off, detectives raided Bizulbazar under Birampur upazila at around 9:30pm and arrested Md Monjur Alam with two pistols, 12 bullets and four magazines. Police said Monjur is an illegal arms trader and he has brought the arms and ammunition to Bizulbazar for selling them to Milon and Ashraf.
9 shops gutted in Kurigram

At least nine shops with goods worth Tk. more than ten lakhs were gutted at Rajibpur upazila in Kurigram district at 6am on Wednesday. Local sources said, the fire was originated of electric short circuit from a stationary shop owned by one Ismail Hossain in the upazila. The fire engulfed the adjacent shops rapidly. Officer-in-charge of Rajibpur upazila Helal Uddin admitted the incident and said that the local people brought the fire under control after frantic efforts for two hours as there is no fire station there. All the goods were gutted, he added.
