30 hurt in land dispute in Sylhet

Some 30 were injured in a violent land dispute between two Groups in Doloirgawn under Companigong upazila in Sylhet on Saturday. Local and Police source said, about the possession of 80 kedar of khas land a long dispute happened for a long time. Some class held previously. On its continuity both group start clash on Saturday. Telikhal UP Penal Chairman Amirul Hque informed 80 kedar land is used as panchayeti asset. last year it is purchased by former member sobujar Ali. He said after cultivation sabujar Ali is unable to deposit Tk 6 Lakh so there arise a dispute. When saw ring seed a clash started. 10-12 of both Groups are injured. of them condition of Delwar is critical. M Riazuddin a local person said after clash tension prevails. But the matter is under trial. Islampur west union AL President said the matter is under trial through consultation with poth group. Injured are recevie treatment. At his moment there is no problem. OC of companigong Bais Alam informed, Reason of clash is the ownership of khas land. 15/20 People are injured. But not seriously police reached the spot. No cash started.
Woman held with 400 pieces of Yaba
Companigonj Police Station held a woman with 400 Yaba tablets from Borni khandibari area in Sylhet on Monday night. The arrestees was identified as Rokeya Begum, 32, of Tokar gawn village at Companigonj upazila in Sylhet district Source said, on tip-off, members of Companigonj Police conducted a drive at the area and held them with Yaba and heroin. One held with 445 bottles of phensidyl in Chuadanga
CHUADANGA: The member of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in a drive arrested a man with 445 bottles of contraband phensidyl from Uthali village under Jibannagar upazila of the district yesterday. The arrested was Kofiluddin, 50, a resident of the village. nA team of the elite force led by Major Monir Ahamed conducted a raid in the area and nabbed Kofiluddin from his residence. The RAB members also recovered the contraband drugs during the drive. The arrested person and the recovered items were handed over to Jibannagar Thana Police. A case was filled in this connection with concerned police station, reports BSS.
RCC launches digital attendance system
RAJSHAHI: Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) has launched digital attendance system to make attendance of its officers and employees in office properly and timely. Launching the modern technology, acting Mayor Nizam-ul Azim said the system would contribute a lot towards infusing dynamism into administrative and operational activities of the corporation.
