Dacoity committed in Sylhet

A Dacoity was committed in the village of Mobarakpur Balagong Upazila in the District on Friday. The dacoit looted a huge amount of cash money. The dacoit made the family member hostage and looted mobile, ornament and cash worth Tk 2 lakh. Sources said, on Friday at 3PM about 12/14 dacoit entered the house of Anor mia. Asraf Ali son of Anor mia said, the dacoit broke the lock of main gate and entered the house. They found eye and hand of the family members. They looted the hourse. At one stage they entered this neighboures house. OC Balangong M. Torikul Islam Talukdar said, he visited the spot. No case registered till late hour.
Girl Guides camp ends in Barisal

The three- day long tenth district camp of Bangladesh Girl Guides Association ended at Barisal regional campus of BGGA on Sunday noon stressing on more empowerment of skilled women to prevent social crimes and nourish good-citizenship.The campfire of the programme held on Saturday night attended by Dr. Gazi Md. Saifuzzaman, deputy commissioner, Kazi Hosne Ara, additional deputy commissioner Barisal and Md. Hossain, social worker, as guests.Among others Begum Faizun Nahar, regional commissioner, Rabeya Khatun, additional regional commissioner, Razia Begum, former regional commissioner, addressed the programme presided over by Luthfun Nahar Afroj, district education officer and district commissioner of BGGA.
Police protest BNP’s Black Day Programme in Bogra

As a part of central programme, Bogra Zilla BNP brought out a procession under the leadership of Vp. Saiful Islam on Thursday.As soon as the procession came in front circuit house, Police protested the procession. At this local leader of Bogra Zilla Unit confronted with the police getting barrier agitate leader of BNP gathered in front of the party office. On the other hand the ruling Awami League, Bogra Zilla Unit observed the day as “Victory day for democracy” marking the party’s win in the national polls three years ago. AL, Bogra Zilla Unit brought out victory procession in the town. Fest rallies were also brought out in different upzilas of the district observing the victory day of the party.
Bagerhat Press Club members visit Bangabandhu’s mazar

The newly- elected office-bearers and some senior members of Bagerhat Press Club paid a visit to the Mausoleum of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Tungipara in Gopalganj on Saturday afternoon led by Ahad Haidar, Abdul Baki Talukdar and Nihar Ranjan Saha who are the President, Secretary General and Vice-president of the club respectively. They placed the floral wreaths at the Mausoleum and offered Fateha for the salvation of the departed souls of Bangabandu and his parents.
Earlier on the same day the office-bearers of Bagerhat Press Club met Shaikh Helal Uddin, MP of Bagerhat Constituency-1 at his residence in Khulna City Corporation as a courtesy visit en route from Bagerhat to Tungipara. They exchanged greetings with the law maker and presented him a floral wreaths and crest of club.
