Dev Fair in Sylhet begins on Monday

A three-day “Development Fair-2017” is all set to begin in Mohammad Ali gymnasium premises in the city on January 9, aiming at bringing all the people under the government uplift activities by informing the success stories to achieve Vision-2021 and Vision-2041 as well as Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The theme of the fair is ”Democracy for Development is the Key Motto of Sheikh Hasina.” To make the fair a total success, Sylhet district administration and Press Information Department (PID) organised a press conference at the Deputy Commissioner Conference room on Sunday. Deputy Commissioner (DC) Joynal Abedin attend the conference saying that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is scheduled to inaugurate the event through video conference at 3.00pm from her official Gonabhaban residence in the capital.
Aman procurement drive inaugurated in Baraigram

Aman rice procurement was inaugurated at Bonpara Store-House under Baraigram upazila on Thursday. On the occasion, a meeting was held. The meeting was presided over by Upazila Nirbahi Officer Nusrath Farzana. Former State Minister, Member of Parliament (MP) of Natore- Constituency Prof. Abdul Kuddus inaugurated rice procurement by cutting a red lace as a chief guest in the meeting. Bonpara Pouro Mayor KM Jakir Hossain and Upazila Food Controller Md Abdus Salam addressed on different rules of rice procurement as a special guests. Also, Acting Food Store Officer Rousanul Kauser, Upazila Food Inspector Md Ruhul Amin, Chairman of Mills-Malik Association Abu Hena Mostafa Kamal, General Secretary Md Abu Bakkar Siddik, AL- leader Press Kuddus, local elite and journalists were present.
Specialist health camp held at Charfasson

Professors of Gonoshasthaya Samaj Vittik Medical College conducts a week- long special health camp at Charfasson in Bhola district every month. This month the camp has began yesterday. It will continue till January 14, 2017. All types of diagnostic tests, ECG, Ultra-Sonography, X-ray and blood transfusion will be available at cheap rates. Essential medicines will be provided at MRP rate. The medical team consists of specialists of Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, General Surgery, Pediatric Surgery, Gynecology, Dentistry, Eye, Anesthetist, Sonologist, Physiotherapy, Radiology will advice all patients with difficult chronic problems.
