Ramp set up for disabled people at Doulatpur hospital

A M Naymur Rahman Durjoy, MP Manikgonj-1 and Ex- Captain of Bangladesh Cricket Board inaugurated a ramp established under PIHRS Project implemented by Disabled Rehabilitation and Research Association (DRRA) with the collaboration of CBM at Doulatpur Upazilla Health Complex on Thursday. Mohammad Shofiur Rahman, Upazilla Nirbahi Officer, Rokibuzzaman, OC, Debesh Das, Project Manager of PIHRS Project & Assistant Deputy Director of DRRA and Hiren Pondith, Consultant of DRRA were present at the inauguration programme .
68 pc people die in non communicable diseases

Speakers at a meeting said on Saturday sixty eight per cent of the total death occurred for non communicable diseases such as high blood pressure, heart attack, arsenicosis, cancer and asthma. ‘Most of the incidents of such death could be avoided by changing some habits,’ they added. Arranged by Asia Arsenic Network at Jessore General Hospital, the Dr Shymal Krishna Saha, superintendent of the hospital, the meeting was attended among others by Dr AKM Khairul Islam, Tarun Kanti Hore and officials of Asia Arsenic Network on Saturday
Brilliant students accorded reception in Baraigram

A total 198 brilliant students were accorded reception on Thursday las in Baraigram upazila of Natore district. On the occasion, a function was held at the ground of Bonpara Degree College. The function was presided over by Bonpara Pouro Mayor K.M.Jakir Hossain. Member of Parliament (M.P) of Natore-4 seat and District Awami League Chairman Prof. Abdul Kuddus was present as a Chief Guest. Also, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Israth Farzana was present as a special guest. It was also addressed among others by Principal Abdur Razzak Mollah, Gour Pada Mondol, Upazila Awami League Chairman Abdul Jalil Pramanik, General Secretary Adv. Mizanur Rahman, Bonpara Pouro AL-Convenor Ataur Rahman Ata, Awami League leader Press Kuddus, Prof. Muyazzem Hossain Bablu, Pouro Councillor Abul Hossain Kalam and Mohith Kumer Sarker. Chief and Special guests gave away reception prizes to the198 brilliant students. Of them, there are 57 students of P.S.C, 72 of J.S.C, 58 of S.S.C and 11 of H.S.C. All of them got G.P.A-5 in last respective final examination.
Human chain formed in Baraigram
A human chain was formed demanding arrest and exemplified punishment of terrorists who attacked Md Mizanur Rahman, the Headmaster of Panchbaria High School recently. The human chain was formed at Dhanaidah under Baraigram upazila of Natore district on Friday on Natore -Pabna High road. The human chain was addressed among other by Md Aram Ali, Jahanara Begum, Ismail Hossain and Ziaur Rahman. Speakers said, Mizanur Rahman was coming to Panchbaria High School from his own house of Darikhoir by a rickshaw-van recently . Then, terrorists attacked Mizanur Rahman stopping the rickshaw-van. As a result, his a hand and a leg were broken. Mizanur Rahman is now under treatment of doctors of the Dakha Lab Aid Hospital.
