Two charged for insulting Suu Kyi

A member of Myanmar’s ruling pro-democracy party has pressed charges against two villagers for insulting the government’s new leader Aung San Suu Kyi, a police officer said Friday.
Suu Kyi steered her National League for Democracy (NLD) into power earlier this year after championing a decades-long struggle against military rule.

Pak’s spy agency chief likely to be replaced

Chief of Pakistan’s powerful spy agency Inter-Services Intelligence Lieutenant General Rizwan Akhtar is likely to be replaced within the next few weeks, a media report said today.
Lieutenant General Akhtar was appointed the director general of ISI in September 2014 and took office in November 2014, when he replaced the retiring Lt Gen Zaheer-ul-Islam.
The appointment is normally for a three-year period unless the ISI chief retires or is replaced by the army chief.

9 militants killed in Afghanistan
Xinhua, Jalalabad
Up to nine militants loyal to the extremist Islamic State (IS) outfit were killed as their hideouts were attacked by aircrafts in eastern Afghanistan Friday night,local government official said Saturday.
The operations took place in Bandar village of Achin district in Nangarhar province. A vehicle of the armed insurgents was also destroyed, spokesman for provincial government Attaullah Khogiani said.
