Anti- militancy, terrorism meet held

The teachers and students of Altaf Golandaz Degree College with journalists, guardians, alem-ulama arranged a gathering against anti- militancy and terrorism at Gafargaon in Mymensingh recently. Md Shamsul Haque, Principal , Altaf Golandaz Degree College presided over the anti-militancy and terrorism meeting. Vice-principal Mahabubul Haque Khan, Lecturer Abdul Awal Sheikh, Lecturer Matiur Rahman Babul, Lecturer Golam Mahmud Faroki, Lecturer Arshad Ahmed Asad, delivered their speeches on anti-militancy and terrorism to create awareness among students about its bad impact on the society. Besides, the 4th class employee Md Jasim Uddin, student Sadia Sultana Rini, Abu Raihan, Tofayel Ahmmed, Shakil spoke .
One killed, 10 injured in clash in Narail
Narail : A man was killed and 10 others were injured in a clash following a clash between two rival groups at Kharoria village under Kalia upazila of the district on Wednesday. Police said the clash took place in the morning between two rival groups over establishing supremacy in the area. During the clash, Ajgor Minar, 45, son of Eklas Minar of the same village was killed on the spot, while ten persons sustained injuries. The injured were sent to Narail and Khulna Medical College Hospital, reports BSS.
Minor girl drowns in Jessore pond

A minor girl drowned in a pond at Chandigram in Manirampur upazila of Jessore district yesterday morning. The deceased was identified as Maria, 2, daughter of Ashraf Ali, a resident of the village. Family members said Maria slipped into the pond close to her house while she was playing near its bank to the unawareness of her family members in the morning. Later, the family members recovered the body from the pond after a frantic search. A pall of gloom descended upon the area following the incident.

A warm reception of the students who have got A+ in the H.S.C. examination -2016 and the students of Degree who have got first division in the year 2013 (Result Published in 2015) was held in Rampal College Auditorium on Tuesday. MP of Bagerhat-3 Alhaj Talukder Abdul Khaleq addressed the function as chief guest . Principal of Rampal College Md. Maznur Rahman presided over the function . Upazila Chairman Sk. Md. Abu Sayed , Ex-Upazilla Chairman Mollah Abdur Rouf , Uapzilla Vice Chairman Sk. Moajjem Hossain , Mohila Vice Chairman Hosneara Mily , Muktijoddha Commander Sk. Mojaffar Hossain , Upazilla AL member Master Azam Hossain ,lecturer Md. Saiful Alam , Sk. Shanewaj , Md. Sahidul Islam , Upazilla Chatraleague secretary Sk. Mohammad Sadi was present there. Chief guest in his speech told that they have duties and responsibilities to the country .They also have to aware of the terrorism and militancy and take active role in uprooting it from the country . As a president of Rampal College , he told that college have to retain the continuity of the result in the next year. Mentionable that 14 students from general section and B.M. section has got A+ in H.S.C. level in this year and 17 students have got first division in Degree level.
