Worker missing in Piyain River

A boat worker went missing after he dived into the Piyain River in Jaflong of Goainghat upazila in Sylhet in efforts to salvage his sunken boat on Tuesday. The missing worker was identified as Farid Ahmed, 42, son of late Rashid Ali, a resident of Uttar Protappur village of the upazila. Md Delwar Hossain, officer-in-charge of Goainghat Police Station, said an engine-run stone-laden boat, in which Farid was employed, capsized in the river 4-5 days ago. Several workers of the boat, including Farid, started working to salvage it. In his attempt, Farid dived into the river and went missing around 12pm.
Final match of BD National School – Madrasa held

The Final match of 45th Bangladesh National School and Madrasha was held in Rampal College play ground at 4p.m.on Tuesday. The two schools of Rampal Upazila named Sreefaltala High School and Bashntali High School reached the final match among all sthe schools from the Upazilla. In the final match , Bashntali High School defeated Sreefaltala High Scool by 3–0 goal. After the match , prize giving ceremony was held at 6p.m. Being presided over by the Upazilla Mohila Vice Chairman Hosneara Mily ,Upazilla Chairman Sk. Md. Abu Sayed was present there as chief guest. Principal of Rampal College Md. Maznur Rahman , Bashntaly UP Chairman Alhaj Mohammad Ali and Upazilla Higher Education Officer Md. Shajahan Mia addressed there as special guest. The chief guest handed over the prize to the champion and runners up team .The function came to an end at 6.30 p.m.

 A view exchange meeting on anti-corruption was held at Satota Songo of Shibgonj B,Das High School at Gafargaon Upazila under Mymensingh recently. Members of Managing Committee with upazila Anti-corruption committee took oath at the function . Md.Abul Hasem, Chairman of managing committee presided over the meeting. Dr,K.M.Ehsan, President of Upazila Anti-corruption Committee was the Chief Guest in the oath-taking and view exchange meeting. Md.Rafiqul Bashar ,Vice-president of upazila Anti-corruption committee conducted the meeting. Nirupoma Debnath, Vice-president of Anti-corruption Committee , Member H.M.Towhidul Islam, Headmaster S.M.Badrul Haque, Asst.Headmaster Abdus Salam, Teacher Shafiur Rahman Salim, Sumi Akter,a student of class Ten, Student Rabin Ahmmad, Md.Abul Hasem, chairman,Managing Committee delivered their speeches to create awareness on corruption in the meeting.
