A newly -married young housewife of an expat was hacked dead with chapatti by local miscreants early on the morning of Monday at her father’s home at Forman Ali Miji Bari in Char Moguya village under Rupsha union of Faridganj Upazila. The deceased was identified as Mishu Akter, 20, daughter of late Md Selim Miji, and newly married wife,( married one year ago) of Mohammad Sohel Mia, 28, son of Salamatullah, of the neighbouring Santosepur village , presently working in Qatar.
Faridganj Thana Police arrested the absconding main accused Sujon Khan on Tuesday and earlier on Monday his younger brother Tawfik Khan for interrogation.
However, the victim’s mother Saleha Begum said, at the time of the incident, Mishu was alone in her house when the miscreants led by Sujon suddenly swooped on her causing grievous injuries to her face and body and fled away hacking her indiscriminately with chapatti.Mother Saleha Begum.
on hearing her screams and shouts , at once ran to rescue her daughter in the room.
Seriously stab- injured Mishu was rushed to the local Health Complex and from there, she was later referred to Dhaka Medical College Hospital but she succumbed to her injuries on the way to Dhaka Medical Hospital at Daudkandi area on Cumilla -Dhaka highway at 10 am..
On getting information, Police rushed to the spot and collected the first hand reports of the incident.
Local elite Alamgir Hossain and former UP member Sekandar Khan said, early in the morning, when Mishu’s mother Saleha was taking her two sons to local masjid for learning Arabic, taking this chance, the miscreants led by Sujon,25, son of Abul Bashar Khan of the village managed to enter Mishu’s room and hacked her with the help of accomplices and then fled the scene running.
