Battery factory fined Tk 10 lakh for polluting environment

City Desk :A mobile court of the Department of Environment (DoE) penalised a battery factory Tk 10 lakh in Dhaka and sealed off it for polluting environment.As part of the DoE’s anti-pollution campaign, its Executive Magistrate Kazi Tamjeed Ahmed on Thursday fined the battery factory – RK Power – located in Nishatnagar, Dhaur, of Dhaka, said a press release of the Environment, Forest and Climate Change Ministry.Later, the factory was shut down by disconnecting power.As part of its regular monitoring...
