Smuggling at Benapole border: BGB seizes goods worth Tk 17.75cr

Staff Reporter :Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members have seized smuggled goods worth around Tk 17.75 crore and arrested 201 persons involved in smuggling along border areas of Jashore’s Benapole over the last year.Lt Col Selim Reza, commander of Jashore-49 BGB Battalion, revealed this during a press briefing on Sunday.The seized items include 13 pistols, 24 magazines, 58 rounds of bullets, 26 kilogrammes of gold bars, 20,827 bottles of Indian phensidyl, 547 kg of marijuana, 406 bottles of alcohol, 567 pieces...
