Five newly-appointed ministers and state ministers on Tuesday paid rich tribute to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing wreath at the Mausoleum of the Father of the Nation in Tungipara, Gopalganj.
Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Nurul Islam BSc, Science and Technology Minister Architect Yafesh Osman, State Minister for Post and Telecommunications Tarana Halim and State Minister for Food Nuruzzaman Ahmed placed the wreath at the tomb of Bangabandhu.
They also took part in the special prayer for eternal peace of the departed soul.
Dhaka Range Police Deputy Inspector General SM Mahfuzul Haque Nuruzzaman administered the special Munajat.
Administrator of Gopalganj District Council Chowdhury Emdadul Haque, Deputy Commissioner Md Khalilur Rahman, superintendent of police SM Emran Hossain, joint general secretary of Gopalganj Awami League Mahbub Ali Khan and Tungipara Upazila Chairman Gazi Golam Mostafa, were present on the occasion, among others.
