The government has given postings to 2,000 more physicians who were temporarily recruited from the waiting list of the 39th special batch of Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) to expedite the fight against coronavirus.
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) issued a notification on Sunday in this regard.
As per the notification, the newly appointed doctors will have to mandatorily join the service on May 12.
On May 4, the government temporarily recruited the 2,000 more physicians to expedite the fight against coronavirus.
In case of absence of any doctors on the date, he/she will be considered as not willing to join and the temporary appointment will be cancelled, the notification said.
The doctors will get a salary of Tk 22,000-53,060 under the National Pay Scale, 2015.
