The newborn stolen from Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) has been rescued from Boardbazar area of the district. Additional Director General (ADG) of RAB Col. Zaiul Ahsan confirmed that the newborn was rescued early Thursday. Two people have been arrested in the connection. According to sources, Parvain, a midwife, sold the infant to a Rahima. Runa Akhter, a housewife of the capital’s Mohammadpur area, gave birth to twin babies at the neonatal ward no-6 (bed-213) of DMCH on August 20. Golenur Begum, mother of Runa Akhter, said, the babies were crying and taking the opportunity, an unidentified woman, stole one of the twin. RAB will hold a press conference to inform about its details on Thursday noon.
