A newborn baby has tested Covid-19 positive in Chattogram General Hospital.
The mother of the baby was a Covid-19 patient and went under a C-section to give birth in the hospital on May 24, said Dr HM Hamidullah Mehedi, a junior consultant of medicine at the hospital.
As the mother was a Covid-19 patient, samples of the baby were sent for coronavirus testing on May 25, the physician said, adding that the result came back positive last night.
