Dr Newaz Mohammad Bahadur, Professor at Applied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering Department and Md Majnur Rahman of Economics Department, were elected President and General Secretary (respectively) of Noakhali Science and Technology University Teachers’ Association (NSTUTA) on Friday.
Dr Mohammad Belal Hossain, Professor at Fisheries and Marine Science, also Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) of electoral panel, declared the results in the evening.
The others post holders in the new Executive Committee (EC) are Vice-President Dr Mohammad Anisuzzaman, Joint Secretary Md Iqbal Hossen, Treasurer Dr Md Shahid Sarwar, Publicity Secretary Dr Aradhan Sarkar, Cultural and Sports Secretary Md Mohaiminul Islam Selim, the Executive Member Dr Firoz Ahmed, Tanima Sarkar, AQM Salauddin Pathan and Sahana Rahman.
The election held peacefully at the Haji Mohammad Idris Auditorium of the university from 9:00am to 1:00pm on the day.
