A new warship BNS Samudra Jahaz ‘ joins in the fleet of Bangladesh Navy . The warship reached chittagong Base of the Bangladesh Navy yesterday morning .
US govt has given this warship to Bangaldesh . Commander of BN in Chittagong Base Rear admiral Akhter Habib received the ship at Chittagong flotila . A band of BN presented band music welcoming the warship .
Naval sources said the length of the vessel is 115 meter sand breadth 13 meters with running speed of 29 nautical miles.
To operate the vessel 21 officers and 157 crews have been engaged in the warship, sources said. There is a facilities of helicopter in the ship .
