A new trust fund titled “Prof Kazemuddin Ahmed and Dr Saaduddin Md Mamoon Trust Fund” has been set up on Wednesday at the Dhaka University (DU).
Professor of DU Sculpture Department Dr Lala Rukh Selim and grand-daughter of late Prof Kazemuddin Ahmed handed over a cheque for Taka 10 lakh to the DU Treasurer Prof Dr Md Kamal Uddin at the Vice-Chancellor’s (VC’s) office to set up the trust fund.
Dr Saaduddin Md Mamoon, son of late Prof Kazemuddin Ahmed, has donated the money.
DU VC Prof Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman thanked the donor for this donation. He also hoped that the physically challenged students would be highly benefited by the trust fund.
Out of the income of the donation, every year some physically challenged students of different departments of DU will be given scholarships.
