Bangladesh Railway is set to launch today a new train service on Dhaka-Mohanganj route, officials said here yesterday.
They said a pair of trains, to be called Mohanganj Express, would ply between the capital and the northern town of Mohonganj and make stopovers at eight stations on the route. “The train will depart from Kamlapur Railway Station at 02.20 PM and reach Mohanganj at 08.20 PM (and) on the other hand, it will depart from Mohanganj Railway Station at 11.30 PM and reach Kamlapur at 06.50 AM,” a railway spokesman told BSS.
The trains will have fourteen railway coaches. The official said, in another development the Sundarbon Express on Dhaka-Khulna-Dhaka would now be operated with newly imported railway wagons for the passengers’ safety and comfort..
