Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Affairs Adviser to the Prime Minister Tawfiq-e-Elahi Chowdhury yesterday said that a new society emerges from creativity and innovation.
“A society is unfolded through innovation and it should be built up through creativity”, Tawfiq-e-Elahi said adding that the innovations, which are underway in Bangladesh, should be nurtured.
The energy adviser said this while addressing a meeting on “Innovation Circle Chittagong Division-2015” at Chittagong Circuit House on Saturday .
Chittagong Divisional Commissioner’s Office arranged the meeting in collaboration with Access to Information (A2I) Project of the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).
Speaking at the meeting Tawfiq-e-Elahi said that the government officers have progressed a lot in the field of information technology and added that Prime Minister inaugurates different projects through video conference in her absence from the functions. “Gross income and growth rates are increasing and all these are done for keeping people’s life easy and happy. As a country we are in a better position,” he added.
Chittagong Divisional Commissioner Mohammad Abdullah presided over the function while Secretary to the Cabinet Division (Renovation and Coordination) Mohammad Nazrul Islam, Director General (DG) of the Directorate of Immigration and Passport NM Ziaul Alam, DG of Directorate of the Cooperatives Mofizul Islam and Additional Secretary of Home Ministry Mostafa Kamal Uddin, among others, were present at the function.
