Newly -constructed zonal passport office of Chittagong at Panchalaish area was inaugurated on Saturday . Senior secretary of the Ministry of Home Dr. Mozzammel Hoque Khan formally inaugurated as Chief Guest.
This is 33rd zonal passport office so constructed recently across the country.
Among others, Additional Secretary of the Home Ministry Mostafa Kamaluddin, Director General of Immigration & Passport Department Brig.Gen. Md. Masud Rezwan , Deputy Commissioner of Chittagong Shamsul Arefin, District Police Super Nure Alam Mina were present on the occasion. Passport seekers of Chandgaon thana, Karnaphuli thana, Kotwali, Chowkbazar, Panchalaish , Bakalia of the city and Patiya, Boalkhali, Satkania, Lohagara, Anowara, Banskhali, Chandanaish upazilas of South Chittagong will get services relates to passport and immigration from this new zonal office, sources said.
Mentionable that govt has taken projects of constructing 67 zonal passport offices in 64 districts across the country and till today construction of 33 offices completed in the meantime.
