Newly appointed Chief of Naval Staff Vice Admiral M Shaheen Iqbal on Monday paid homage by placing wreaths at the mausoleum of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Tungipara.
Besides, Bangladesh Navy Family Welfare Association (BNFWA) President Begum Monira Raushan Iqbal also paid tribute by placing a wreath at the grave of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, said an ISPR press release.
They also offered Fateha and special munajat seeking eternal peace of the Father of the Nation.
The Navy Chief visited local house of the Father of the Nation, museum and library, and then he signed the visitors’ book.
High navy officials including regional commander of Khulna Naval Zone and BNFWA’s Khulna branch chairman were also present.
