The family day and annual picnic of The New Nation journalists, officials and employees was held at Sonaimuri Amusement Park in Narsingdi on Friday.The New Nation Unit organized the yearly event where spouses and children of the staff also took part with much enthusiasm and pleasure. Apart from offering delicious breakfast and lunch, the function was also marked by different coloruful events including sports for children, target practice for men, cultural programme and women’s pillow passing. But the main attraction of the total programme was raffle draw where General Manager of The New Nation Syed Altaf Hossain distributed prizes among the winners as the chief guest. Presided over by convenor of the Family Day Celebration committee Md Shahidul Islam, the function was also attended by manager of The New Nation Printing Press Syed Mahabubur Rahman, managing editor of Weekly Robbar Md Nurul Islam and deputy director of public relations of Dhaka University Mahmud Hassan as special guests.
