The new mayor of Ishwardi municipality Ishaq Ali Malitha along with the councilors laid a wreath at the mural of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu at 12.30 pm on Wednesday. Among the newly elected councilors are Farida Yasmin, Rahima Khatun, Firoza Begum, Kamal Hossain, Monirul Islam Sabu, Jahangir Hossain, Aminul Islam, Wakil Alam, Abul Hashem, Abdul Latif Mintu, Abu Zahid Ujjwal and Yusuf Ali Pradhan was present at the time.
Later, on behalf of the Municipal Service Association, Secretary Zahurul Haque, Sanitary Inspector Abul Kaiser Shuja, Chief High Level Assistant Nur Md. Masudul Alam, Chief of Power Department Khairul Islam Liton along with the Municipal Mayor laid a wreath.
