Two separate international seminars titled ‘Graduate Study Opportunity at Memorial University of New Foundland (MUN) Canada and ‘Research Prospect on Petroleum Engineering’ were held at Chittagong University of Engineering & Technology(CUET) on Tuesday .
Petroleum & Minning Engineering(PME) Department arranged the seminar and Vice Chancellor of CUET Dr. Prof. Jahangir Alam .Pro-VC of CUET Prof. Md. Rafiqul Alam and Dean of Mechanicdal faculty Dr. Badius Salam attended as special guests.
The chief guest in his brief deliverations hoped for opening new horizon of country’s development through use of petroleum and mineral resources after properly procurement from underground . With this view of exploring the mineral resources, CUET introduced PME department, he added. The specials guests in the seminars told that petroleum and mineral resources can play pivotal role in the country’s durable development .
Main keynote papers of the seminars presented by Associate professor of Memorial Universtiy of New Foundland, Canada Dr. Enamul Hossain duly presided over by Chairman of PME Department Dr. Sajal Chandra Baniki.Among others, Head of PME DFepartment of Shahjalal University Dr.M Farhad Howlader participated the discussions. Asstt. Professor of PME Department of CUET Tarekuzzaman delivered address of welcome in it. Asstt. Professor of PME department Mohammad Ismail Miah was the moderator in it.
Dr.M Enamul Hossain in his keynote paper said the doors of the Memorial University of New Foundland , Canada will remain open for the students of CUET for their higher studies on the subjects, Public relations department sources said.
