Private Radio Owners’ Association of Bangladesh (PROAB) recently formed a new 13-member committee for two years. The committee was formed at a general meeting at the conference room of East West Media Group Ltd in the capital’s Bashundhara Residential Area. Md. Harun Ur Rashid, Chairman and Managing Director of Asian Radio Ltd. Rashadul Hasan Chowdhury, Managing Director of Radio Dhoni Ltd, were made President and General Secretary respectively. Other members of the committee are Joint Secretary-Shams Suman of Gangchill Media Ltd (Radio Bhumi), Senior Vice-President-Abdullah Al Mamun, Managing Director of Broadcast World Bangladesh Ltd. (Time Radio), Vice Presidents-Nader Chowdhury, Director of Ratul Media and Communication Ltd. (Desh Radio), and Jalaluddin Akond, Executive Director of Ayna Broadcasting Co. Ltd (ABC Radio), Treasurer-Shafqat Samiur Rahman, Managing Director of Innovision (Radio Edge), Director Ehsanul Haque , Chief Technical Officer of East West Media Group Ltd. (Radio Capital), Md. Rafiqul Haque, Managing Director Radio Broadcasting Ltd (Radio Today), Shomi Kaiser, Managing Director of Dhanshiri Communication Ltd. (Active Radio), Raquib Md. Fakhrul, Managing Director of Tune Bangladesh Ltd. (Color FM), Anisuzzaman, General Manager (Operation) of Dhaka FM Ltd.(Dhaka FM), and Sujan Mahmud, Head of Media of PRAN-RFL group AKT Pvt. Ltd. (Jago FM).
