Engineeer Salimuddin and Hasan Imam have been elected as president and secretary respectively of a 29-member executive committee of Matlabgonj JB High School Old Students’ Association, Dhaka for the next 2 years in a general meeting of the association held on Saturday at the National press club in the capital.
Former president of the association Zahirul Hoque presided over the meeting while Dr Abdul Matin Patwary, former Vice chancellor of BUET was the chief guest. A large number of old students of Matlab High School attended the meeting along with their kids and family members.
The meeting was addressed among others by Prof Dr Golam Rasul, former director of PG Hospital, Major General (rtd) Mukhlesur Rahman, PSC, former additional secretary Fazlul Hoque, Dr Nurul Islam, Faruk Ahmed, Director of BIDL, Ispahani Group, Engineer Monir Hossain Pathan, Prof Zakir Hossain Zamal and Deputy Secretary Zakir Hossain Kamal.
Earlier, stipends were distributed among 26 talent students of Matlab High School who secured distinguished marks in last SSE exam.
