New ambassador of Bangladesh to the Republic of Uzbekistan Md Zahangir Alam paid a courtesy call on President M Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban here on Wednesday evening.
During the meeting, the President said that Bangladesh maintains a very good relation with Uzbekistan and there is a huge opportunity for trade and investment between the two countries.
Press Secretary Mohammad Joynal Abedin told Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha after the meet.
President Hamid directed the newly appointed Bangladesh ambassador to avail the advantage, taking effective steps to develop the existing bilateral ties.
