President M Abdul Hamid stressed the importance of increasing diplomatic as well as bilateral trade and investment relations with Morocco as newly-appointed ambassador of Bangladesh to Morocco Mohammad Shahdat Hossain paid a courtesy call on him on Tuesday at Bangabhaban in Dhaka.
During the meeting, the President hoped that the new ambassador would work to improve bilateral relations with Morocco, including existing trade and investment, President’s Press Secretary Md Joynal Abedin told BSS.
The head of the state assured the new ambassador of providing all necessary cooperation and guidance as he (envoy) sought cooperation in discharging his assignments in Morocco.
President’s Office Secretary Sampad Barua, Military Secretary Major General SM Salah Uddin Islam, Press Secretary Md Joynal Abedin and Secretary (Attachment) Md Wahidul Islam Khan were present on the occasion.
