Newly appointed Bangladesh high commissioner to India Syed Moazzem Ali made a courtesy call on President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban on Wednesday.
During the call on, the President advised the new high commissioner to play effective role in the implementation of Bangladesh-India land boundary agreement and Teesta water sharing treaty, President’s press secretary Ihsanul Karim told BSS.
The President asked the high commissioner to work sincerely for strengthening bilateral ties with India, Karim added.
Concerned Secretaries to the President were present.
