Bangladesh’s first neurosurgeon Rashiduddin Ahmad has died at the age of 79, his family says.
Ahmad’s daughter Rashida Ahmad said he had breathed his last at
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU), where he was an emeritus professor, around 8pm on Saturday.
She told bdnews24.com that her father had suffered “a massive (hemorrhagic) stroke on Feb 9”.
“He did not regain consciousness. He was in coma and last week his condition became unstable,” she said.
