The biennial election of Netrakona Press Club was held here at the club’s Conference Room yesterday.
In the election, Abdul Hannan Ranjan, District Correspondent of UNB and Shamolendu Paul, District Correspondent of the daily Ittefaq were elected Vice President and General Secretary of the Press club for two -year term.
Earlier, freedom fighter Khandokar Anisur Rahman (non- journalist member) was elected vice president of the club uncontested.
A 19-member executive committee of the club was also elected in the election.
A three- member election commission of the club headed by election commissioner Adv Amirul Islam conducted the election.
Mentionable that Deputy Commissioner Netrakona Main-UL-Islam is the ex-officio president of the Club.
