The Netherlands has expressed keen interest to invest in the fast growing information and communication technology (ICT) sector of Bangladesh.
“Bangladesh’s advancement in the ICT sector is excellent and we are eager to invest more here to boost the IT sector,” said The Netherlands Ambassador to Bangladesh Gerben de Jong who led a six-member delegation during a meeting with State Minister for Post, Telecommunications and Information Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak at his Agargaon office here today.
The minister appraised the delegation about the already implemented-projects of ICT sector and the ongoing ones that would help ICT’s contribution to economy and generation of employment.
The ambassador said the internationally reputed organizations would also feel encouraged to invest here as a positive image has been created with the progress of the ICT sector.
He also expressed that The Netherlands is willing to work together with Bangladesh and continue to provide support and cooperation to carry forward the development of Bangladesh.
